Promoting Appreciation of Wine Through EducationThe American Wine Society is a national, non profit consumer organization devoted to educating people on all aspects of wine. Its members are wine novices, experts, grape growers, amateur and professional winemakers, restaurateurs, and anyone who wants to learn more about the appreciation of wine and food. Cincinnati ChapterThe Cincinnati Chapter of the American Wine Society (AWS) have a common interest--learning about and enjoying wine. Our chapter normally tries to hold two events a month. These tastings range from bring your favorite bottle of zinfandel to blind tasting of some of the worlds finest wines. While all events are educational the number one goal is to enjoy the company of good friends and have a great time. Anyone who is looking for fun and has an interest in wine is welcome to join the chapter. Please look around our web site to learn more about the various activities or our group. How Can You Join? To be a member of our Chapter you must first join the American Wine Society. Currently our chapter has no annual dues. The cost to join AWS is $52 per year and includes a newsletter, quarterly magazine, vintage charts and the AWS Insurance Program.
