Why Two Calendars?

Events Calendar - This was our first calendar we created for all Cincinnati area wine events. One thing we quickly noticed was that while there are a lot of events in the area there are also quite a few events that really fall under the description of "wine tasting".  We wanted the "Event" calander to be primarly presented in a monthly format since most of these events are planned well in advance and can sell out quickly. Using this format we noticed that casual tasting entries quickly made the view of the calendar a bit cumbersome. That is why we created a separate calendar for tastings.  The event calendar should be used to list wine dinners, wine seminars, auctions, meeting of winemakers and other larger wine events. There are really no hard and fixed rules but I think most people will get the idea once they take a look at the two calendars.

Tasting Calendar - As mentioned above this calendar is recommended for casual wine tasting events.  Normally the type of events that repeat themselves.  We mainly see this calendar being used by the area wine shops and restaurants that have weekly or monthly tastings.  The calendar has a different default view (weekly versus monthly) which is more appealing for these types of events. Plus it allows you to see more detail about each event at a glance. It is hopeful we can fill this calendar up with many of the tasting that occur throughout the Cincinnati area.
