Dick and Mary have graciously offered to hold the April 1^st tasting at the Wine Shop this Saturday. I know it is very short notice but let’s get a good turnout for this event. It is very nice that Dick and Mary don’t want to let a day like April 1^st to pass us by without a little celebration.

 The theme for the tasting remains the same:  “Fool The Taster”.   Your job is to bring a wine (please a good wine) that will surprise others when they find out the variatel. We are not talking about obscure grapes no one has ever heard of.  We are looking more for that sur lee barrel aged, malolactic fermented Sauvignon Blac that everyone is sure to think is a California Chardonnay.  Or maybe, the heavily extracted Oregon Pinot that taste more like a Syrah. You get the idea, something good, but with a twist. In addition to the wine please bring an appetizer, dessert or snack for everyone to enjoy.  

If you have trouble finding a wine that taste different then just bring that grassy Sauvignon Blanc and watch others try to make it taste like something else. It is April Fools so the important thing is to get together and have a little fun.
