On April 29th, 2006 the Cincinnati AWS chapter will be spending an evening at Henke winery. The Henke's have been long time supporters of the American Wine Society. Joe has been making award winning wines for over 30 years. Most of this time was spent honing his skills as a home winemaker. In 1996 he and his wife Joan opened their first restaurant in Winton Place. It wasn't long before they outgrew that location and moved to their current location on Glenway on the west side of Cincinnati. Joe and his chef have put together a special multi-course dinner for our chapter to enjoy. Joe has selected some of his finest wines to match with each course.

All entrees are served with: -- Salad of field greens, crumbled blue cheese, and walnuts, dressed with Merlot vinaigrette -- Grilled asparagus and saffron rissoto -- Dessert of chocolate & white chocolate mousse with pralines Price includes three course dinner; a pour of wine Henke wine especially paired with each course; tax and gratuity. Wines served will include Henke Zinfandel, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cin Zin (a Zinfandel-based dessert wine). Additional wine, by the bottle or glass, may be purchased directly from your server.Please note that the Henkes have asked that we pay with checks made out to Henke Winery or cash when we arrive because we are there on a “regular business” evening. Handling credit cards as we all leave at about the same time will result in long waits for both us and their regular clientele.
